  • What is "Zork"?

I read a news story about new wine closure.

    Does anyone know about it?

    Nerd alert!!

"Zork" -- the Great Underground Empire, of course!

    "Hello, sailor!" :computer_

(For the mystified among you, it was a hugely successful series of computer-based adventure games from the 1980s.)

You are standing in an open field west of a white house, with a boarded front door. There is a small mailbox here.

Zork is a new closure for wine being developed by Conor McKenna in Adelaide, South Australia. It is essentially a snap on cap that will go on to normal wine bottles with the same sealing features as a screwcap. A prototype was recently shown at a wine trade show in Adelaide. Like all new closure options, if it works it will be great - proof of the pudding will be in the eating.
