  • Question for Robert Parker

    Dear Mr Parker,

This forum has been evidence of the intensity of the closure debate. No doubt you will be well familiar with similar discussion from a variety of other contexts.

Regardless of the proven track-record or scientific validity of any closure type, it is clear that its success or failure will ultimately depend on just one factor: market response.

And that market is looking to the experts for guidance on a question that is characterised by confusion. All to often, consumers are confronted with one-sided arguments, invariably proliferated by those with a vested interest. In this context, the opinion of an independent critic as influential as yourself becomes especially critical.

What is your view on alternative closures and what plans do you have to publish this opinion?

    Regards,
    Tyson.
