  • TNs: '03 KB RRV PN/'05 Lucia Susan's Syrah

My wife and I had a great time with Paul Galli and his wife at Alexander's Steakhouse in Cupertino. Company, service, and food were awesome, but so were the wines. The KB was fresh, vibrant, and compact with juicy strawberry, PN fruit dripping out of the glass. A winner, for sure! The Lucia was deep and plush with such balanced, big fruit...full-bodied, yet extremely elegant and total 'verve'. Overall, a great (and expensive) way to say goodbye to the up and down world of 2008.

Barry, thanks for the notes. Do you have a preference with respect to vintages/styles of 2003 v. 2004 Kosta Browne? Good to see a good report on the 03 btw.

          Ray,

The 2003s were somewhat lower in alcohol vs the 2004s.
          Leaner with less obvious fruit.

This RRV has matured quite nicely.
