  • Bourgogne Hautes Cotes de Nuit-Jayer-Gilles-02

    12/31/02

    Bourgogne Hautes Cotes de Nuit-Jayer-Gilles-02

Straight from the bottle into an oversized Burgundy glass.Luminous body, translucent disc, purple hue anchored by a large black cherry core.
Notes of cassis rapidly overwhelmed by a blanket of empyreumatic mocha aromas and wood. More oaky mocha, high pitched acidity, soft tannins all with a mouth filling corpulence.

I would like to think that the secondary stage will reveal layers of red fruit, sous bois and tobacco leaves.

Not an elegant or satisfying drink tonight I will revisit in 2007-08.

    Best Regards, Philippe
