It disappoints me to see him leave The Wine Advocate, but my excitement for his new venture more than makes up for it. I can't wait to watch it evolve from the beginning.

Wow. What a shocker at one level. I guess at another level it is not surprising considering the massive change at the WA. I think AG was a major asset and I look forward to his new venture.

I also think that perhaps the boat is being rocked too much by the new administration. Could this be the beginning of the end. I guess RMP may be a one and only phenomenon!

                    Re: Bye bye Antonio

Thanks, everyone! As I wrote in Wine Talk, it has been a great run at the WA over the last 6.5 years. This forum was a big part of that. I still don't think there is another place that brings people with a passion for Italian wines together to the degree this board does. Now, we look to the future...

                      Antonio

I really appreciated your timely reponses to questions posed on the BB. This gave the forum much more of an interactive ambience. I hope you are able to continue this type of "live" interaction in your new venture.

100% agreement! Hope to continue to see your Italian reviews.

                          Re: Bye bye Antonio

Will probably let my subscription expire in April--nothing against Bob--I have only the greatest respect and admiration for him. But for the past few years, I've come to rely more on AG's reviews and less on those of the other writers. I will closely monitor AG's new website and will probably subscribe to any future publication, especially if he remains focused on Italian wines. (Better yet--expand the Italian coverage!)

Quick question: will old reviews be available on the new website? this will be one thing for me to consider whether to subscribe or not... many thanks again.
